catalan, 37, father of two. i live in mazunte — a small coastal town on the pacific side of oaxaca. i moved here after spending fifteen years shipping software across europe and silicon valley. i don't plan to leave.

i run a one-person studio called astral studio. it helps founders, practitioners, and small teams install AI into their actual work. that's the business side. it lives on its own site.

this site is the slower side. essays. field notes. occasional fragments from things i'm working on. what i write here isn't marketing — it's what happens when i let myself write without a goal.

the thread

most of what i write circles around the same observation: that the work underneath both engineering and inner-work is one thing. you pay attention. you notice where something is stuck. you move the stuck thing. you don't force.

the domains look different — code vs breath, servers vs rooms — but the process is identical. same service, different ports.
